Sunset Hills After-School Hours and Teen Party this Friday:

After-School Hours (August 10 – September 5):

Mondays – Thursdays    4 to 8 PM
Fridays                                            4 to 9 PM *(except 8/12)
Saturdays                                    12 to 9 PM
Sundays                                        12 to 8 PM

* Don’t forget that the pool will only be open from 4 until 6:50 PM this Friday, August 12th. The Teen Party will then start at 7 PM. This event is open to 7th Graders through Seniors. Pizza will be served at $1 per slice and water and lemonade will be free.

** Monday, September 5th will be the last day of the 2016 Sunset Hills Swim Season. Hope everyone enjoys the last month of fun at Sunset Hills Pool!

Sunset Hills Co-Guards of the Week: Madi Rall and Meredith Peetz!

Madi Rall and Meredith Peetz have been selected as this week’s Sunset Hills Co-Guards of the Week!

With another successful swim and dive season coming to an end, the SHRA Board would like to recognize Madi and Meredith for all their hard work this season.

As head swim coach, Madi has worked hard to ensure that Sunset Hills swimmers and divers would have opportunities to achieve success. Madi hasalso demonstrated leadership in many other areas and is a tremendous asset to manager Mike Randolph.

As an assistant swim coach, Meredith worked hard to organize youngsters during practices and meets. Meredith has also had several nominations from swim lessons parents, who have described her ability to work with hesitant emerging swimmers, and get them more comfortable with the water.

As always, there will be food, games, fun, and a great silent auction with fabulous prizes. This year, we will also be adding sno-cones, cotton candy, a bounce house, and a dunk tank!

Remember: Sunset Daze is a fundraiser for future improvements. The Party goes from 4-9 pm. Food and Drinks will be served from 5-7 pm. The more the merrier for this event, so invite your family and friends. Help us continue the improvements and family summer fun by participating in this family fundraiser event. Non-members are welcome and it’s a blast!!

Tables can also be reserved for the evening by replying to this email.  Table reservations are $25 per table – payable before the event.

Sunset Hills Guard of the Week: Jenn Poots!

Jenn Poots has been selected as this week’s Sunset Hills Guard of the Week! 

Jenn has been a tremendous addition to the Sunset Hills staff. She demonstrates active lifeguarding skills while on duty, and also shows exemplary work ethic during special events and swim meets.

Jenn’s positive attitude and ablility to work with others make her a true role-model for the young swimmers at Sunset Hills Pool.

Sunset Hills Guard of the Week: Alexander Bayles!

Alexander Bayles has been selected as the first Sunset Hills Guard of the Week for 2016!

Alexander’s work ethic and enthusiasm have been self-evident throughout the month of June.

Alexander demonstrates active lifeguarding skills while he is on duty, and he is a great role model for the youngsters at Sunset Hills.

 Alexander has also shown exemplary habits that demonstrate his pride in the Sunset Hills community, such as working hard to make sure the pool grounds are always clean and safe, and showing sportsmanship and leadership while mentoring younger swimmers at swim meets.

Alexander’s consistent performance, his infectious positive attitude, and his radiant smile make him a pleasure to work with at Sunset Hills.

Attention Sunset Hills Members:

If you or a friend is a small business owner and would like to advertise at Sunset Hills Pool, please contact SHRA President Jane Pinhero

$100 will advertise your business for 4th of JulyWeekend (July 1st – 4th). You must provide your own fence banner or yard sign.

Sunset Hills will also be reserving tables with umbrellas for Monday, July 4th.  $25 will reserve your family a table for the day. If we have more interest than we have tables, we will draw to see who wins the right to reserve the tables.

The Best Swimming Pool in Omaha

Summer family fun starts here! For over 50 years, Sunset Hills Pool has been a special gathering place for neighborhood families and friends. From our zero entry baby pool to the family picnic and pavilion areas, the Sunset Hills pool is the perfect place to play and entertain all summer long. We also offer a wide range of swimming lessons and we proudly field one of the top swim and dive teams in Omaha.

As of April of 2016, we currently have a waiting list of over 250 families. Please email membership@sunsethillspool.com if you would like to join the waiting list.

The Pool is Open!

The pool is open for the season! Pool hours are 1 - 9 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and 12 - 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Please call the pool at 402-391-9285 if the weather is questionable.
